Today we had the pleasure of being invited to visit the studio of artist Richard Lytle. We were blown away by the colors, the compositions, the fluidity, and the sheer size of his work. There is nothing quite like seeing the very place where an artist's ideas come to life.
We are incredibly honored and excited that Richard will be displaying a few prints of his paintings at Palette Art Studio for our June art show for Massaro Farm, which will feature the work of several artists who have been friends and supporters of the farm over the years. The reception will be on June 4th, from 2-5pm.

On January 22nd, we celebrated the official grand opening of our new Woodbridge location. The turnout was amazing, as was the food, generously provided for us by Miya's Sushi in New Haven. Here are a few photos from the event.
During the months of March and April, the students of Palette Art Studio will be exhibiting their artwork at the Woodbridge Town Library. The creations displayed include still lives, animals, abstraction, portraits, and landscapes, and are created with a variety of mediums, such as oil, gouache, tempera, pencil, and ink.
March 1st to March 30th: All Ages Exhibition. March 30th to April 29th: All Ages Exhibition featuring the artwork of high school seniors Katharine Wu and Dan Galasso Reception: April 2nd, 2pm - 4pm, open to the public Here is a video made by Ian Applegate of Nhv.org, about our current exhibit at Miya's Sushi. Palette Studio at Miyas Sushi from #NHV on Vimeo. Last Monday, we hung up some student work in the New Haven restaurant, Miya's Sushi. The artwork will be up for several months. The pieces that we have chosen for this show depict ocean creatures, landscapes, and seascapes, and were created with gouache and oil. The artwork looks wonderful on the walls, and we are very grateful for Miya's Sushi for displaying it! If you have the chance, go have lunch or dinner at Miya's and see your work (or your friends' work!) hanging up. Oh, and you will be more than happy you did, because the food at Miya's is delicious, healthy, unique, and generally spectacular.
Here is the address: 68 Howe St., New Haven, 06511 We hope you get a chance to go enjoy the restaurant and the artwork! |
